Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SLC22A16, a member of the solute carrier family, plays a crucial role in the transport of various endogenous and exogenous compounds, including drugs and metabolites. It is primarily expressed in the liver, kidneys, and intestines, which are key organs for drug metabolism and elimination. Research has shown that SLC22A16 is involved in the absorption and renal handling of several pharmacological agents, impacting their bioavailability and therapeutic efficacy. Its substrates include cationic compounds, which raises interest in understanding its role in drug-drug interactions and individual variability in drug response. Mutations or altered expression levels of SLC22A16 have been linked to various metabolic disorders and could influence susceptibility to certain diseases. As a result, the functional characterization of recombinant SLC22A16 protein is essential for elucidating its transport mechanisms and physiological relevance. This knowledge is vital for drug development and optimizing therapeutic strategies, particularly in personalized medicine. Consequently, studies involving the expression and purification of SLC22A16 recombinant protein enable detailed investigation of its substrate specificity, kinetic parameters, and potential regulatory pathways, thereby advancing our understanding of its role in pharmacokinetics and toxicology.
