Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SLC1A7, a member of the SLC (Solute Carrier) family, encodes a sodium-dependent glutamate transporter primarily expressed in the brain and certain peripheral tissues. This protein plays a crucial role in glutamate homeostasis, which is vital for neurotransmission, synaptic plasticity, and overall brain function. Dysregulation of SLC1A7 has been implicated in various neurological disorders, including schizophrenia, Alzheimer's disease, and epilepsy. Research on SLC1A7 recombinant protein has gained momentum in recent years, driven by the need to understand its structural and functional properties, as well as its role in pathophysiology. Recombinant protein studies facilitate the elucidation of SLC1A7's transport mechanisms, substrate specificity, and interaction with other cellular components. Moreover, the availability of purified SLC1A7 protein is essential for developing potential therapeutic strategies aimed at modulating glutamate signaling. Through techniques such as protein expression in heterologous systems, crystallography, and electrophysiological assays, researchers aim to characterize the protein's kinetics and regulatory mechanisms. This knowledge could potentially lead to novel interventions for managing disorders linked to glutamate imbalance, highlighting the significance of SLC1A7 in both basic research and clinical applications.
