Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SLC12A8, a member of the SLC12 family of solute carriers, encodes a sodium-dependent cation chloride cotransporter primarily expressed in the kidney and other tissues. Its role in ion transport and homeostasis has garnered significant interest, especially in the context of renal physiology and potential implications in hypertension and electrolyte imbalances. Recent studies suggest that SLC12A8 may be involved in the regulation of sodium and chloride reabsorption, which are critical processes for maintaining fluid balance and blood pressure in the body. Additionally, aberrations in SLC12A8 expression or function have been linked to various pathological conditions, including renal disorders and cardiovascular diseases. The recombinant expression of SLC12A8 protein in heterologous systems is essential for elucidating its molecular mechanisms and functional characteristics. Understanding the structure-function relationship of SLC12A8 through protein engineering and biophysical studies can reveal potential therapeutic targets for diseases associated with ion transport dysregulation. Furthermore, recombinant SLC12A8 can serve as a valuable tool for drug screening and development, aimed at modulating its activity to restore proper ionic balance in diseased states. Thus, research on SLC12A8 recombinant protein is pivotal for advancing our knowledge of renal function and identifying novel interventions for managing related health conditions.
