  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

ANPEP, also known as aminopeptidase N, is a type II membrane-bound metallopeptidase that plays a crucial role in various physiological processes, including inflammation, immune response, and the metabolism of bioactive peptides. Its expression is particularly prevalent in the kidney, intestine, and immune cells, where it is involved in the regulation of peptide hormone activity and nutrient absorption. Research over the years has illuminated its significance in diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and certain cancers, making it a potential therapeutic target. The study of recombinant ANPEP proteins has gained traction as scientists aim to elucidate its structure-function relationships and enzymatic mechanisms, as well as to identify its potential role as a biomarker. By using recombinant DNA technology, researchers can produce ANPEP in sufficient quantities, enabling detailed biochemical characterization, identification of substrate specificity, and investigating its interactions with inhibitors or modulators. This foundational research not only enhances our understanding of ANPEP's biological functions but also paves the way for developing novel therapeutic strategies aimed at modulating its activity in disease contexts, thus underscoring the protein's relevance in both basic and translational biomedical research.
