  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CPEB4 (Cytoplasmic Polyadenylation Element Binding Protein 4) is a member of the CPEB family of RNA-binding proteins, which play a crucial role in the regulation of mRNA translation and stability. Researchers have increasingly focused on CPEB4 due to its involvement in key cellular processes, including cell differentiation, growth, and stress responses. Alterations in CPEB4 expression and function have been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. The protein is known to bind to specific sequences in target mRNAs, facilitating polyadenylation, and thus influencing the translation efficiency of those mRNAs. Understanding the molecular mechanisms governing CPEB4 activity could provide insights into how cells regulate fundamental processes at the post-transcriptional level. Recent studies have highlighted the potential of CPEB4 as a biomarker for tumor progression and as a therapeutic target. Furthermore, the development of recombinant CPEB4 proteins allows for detailed structural and functional analyses, paving the way for potential interventions in diseases associated with its dysregulation. As research in this area continues to expand, the characterization of CPEB4's role in post-transcriptional regulation holds promise for both basic science and clinical applications.
