Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
COX7B, a subunit of cytochrome c oxidase (COX), is an essential component of the mitochondrial respiratory chain, playing a crucial role in cellular energy production through oxidative phosphorylation. Its function is vital for efficient ATP synthesis, and dysregulation of COX7B expression has been associated with various metabolic disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, and cancer. Research has shown that COX7B interacts with other subunits and proteins within the mitochondrial membrane, influencing the assembly and activity of the COX complex. Therefore, studying the recombinant COX7B protein provides insights into its structural and functional properties, enabling researchers to investigate its role in healthy and disease states. Additionally, recombinant COX7B can be used to explore potential therapeutic targets for diseases linked to mitochondrial dysfunction. Investigating COX7B not only enhances our understanding of mitochondrial bioenergetics but also informs the development of novel strategies for mitochondrial diseases, highlighting its significance in both basic and applied research disciplines.
