稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of icaB recombinant protein is situated within the broader context of biofilm formation and microbial pathogenesis, particularly in Staphylococcus epidermidis and Staphylococcus aureus, which are significant contributors to nosocomial infections. The icaABCD operon is responsible for the synthesis of polysaccharide intercellular adhesin (PIA), a crucial component for biofilm development. Understanding the role of icaB, a key gene within this operon, is essential as it encodes a protein involved in the biosynthesis of PIA, thereby influencing the adhesive properties of the bacteria. Biofilms provide a protective environment that increases bacterial resistance to antibiotics and immune system evasion, posing a major challenge in clinical settings. Research into icaB and its recombinant protein form aims to elucidate its structure-function relationship and its role in biofilm-related infections. Additionally, exploring icaB could aid in the development of targeted therapies or vaccine strategies that disrupt biofilm formation, ultimately reducing the prevalence of associated infections. The advancements in molecular biology techniques facilitate the generation of icaB recombinant proteins, enabling detailed biochemical analyses and potentially offering new insights into therapeutic interventions for biofilm-related diseases. Through this research, a better understanding of icaB's contributions can lead to innovative solutions in combating persistent infections caused by biofilm-forming pathogens.
