Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of the SIX6 recombinant protein has garnered significant attention due to its potential implications in developmental biology and disease mechanisms, particularly in relation to the central nervous system and retinal development. SIX6 belongs to the SIX family of homeobox transcription factors, which are crucial in regulating gene expression during embryonic development. Disruptions in the functioning of SIX6 have been associated with various ocular disorders, including optic nerve hypoplasia and other retinal abnormalities, highlighting the importance of this protein in eye formation and function. Moreover, recent findings suggest that SIX6 may also play a role in neurogenesis and neuronal survival, positioning it as a key player in neurodegenerative diseases. Researchers have been focusing on characterizing the structure and function of the SIX6 protein through recombinant DNA technology to better understand its biological roles. This includes studying its interactions with other cellular proteins and gene targets, aiming to unravel the molecular pathways it influences. The recombinant form of SIX6 not only serves as a valuable tool for functional assays but also holds promise for potential therapeutic applications, such as gene therapy or regenerative medicine, by providing insights into mechanisms that could be manipulated for treating related disorders. Understanding the nuances of SIX6's role in cellular processes could pave the way for innovative approaches in managing diseases linked to its dysfunction, making it a significant subject of ongoing research in molecular biology and biomedical sciences.
