  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

SIX4, a member of the SIX (SINE OGlial) family of transcription factors, plays a crucial role in various developmental processes, particularly in the formation of the eye and other sensory organs. Research on SIX4 has gained momentum due to its involvement in key signaling pathways, such as those mediated by Wnt and fibroblast growth factors (FGFs), which are essential for cellular differentiation and organogenesis. The study of SIX4 has significant implications in understanding congenital disorders, as mutations in SIX4 have been associated with developmental abnormalities and diseases. Moreover, the protein's interaction with other transcription factors and its regulatory mechanisms offer insights into gene expression and cellular response to external stimuli. The recombinant production of SIX4 allows researchers to conduct detailed functional assays, structural analyses, and explore its potential therapeutic applications. By elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying SIX4's role in development and its implications in pathology, scientists aim to uncover novel strategies for intervention in genetic disorders related to SIX4 dysregulation. This growing body of research underscores the significance of SIX4 not only in fundamental biology but also in translational medicine, making it a valuable target for further investigation in developmental biology and therapeutic development.
