  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

COL4A3BP, or Collagen Type IV Alpha 3 Binding Protein, is increasingly recognized for its significant role in various biological processes and disease mechanisms. It is a critical component of the extracellular matrix and plays a pivotal role in collagen IV stabilization and cell adhesion, influencing tissue architecture and integrity. Abnormalities in COL4A3BP expression or function have been associated with several pathological conditions, including kidney diseases, where it may contribute to glomerular sclerosis and fibrosis. Additionally, research demonstrates its involvement in cellular signaling, migration, and even tumorigenesis, suggesting its potential as a biomarker or therapeutic target in cancer. The development of recombinant COL4A3BP proteins for experimental studies allows researchers to elucidate its precise biological functions and interactions with other cellular components. Investigating the structure-function relationship of COL4A3BP can lead to a better understanding of its role in health and disease, and the insights gained may pave the way for novel therapeutic strategies aimed at modulating its activity in various pathological conditions. Overall, the ongoing research into recombinant COL4A3BP holds promise for advancing our knowledge of extracellular matrix dynamics and its implications for human health.
