Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
COL29A1, a member of the collagen family, is a type of collagen that has garnered attention in recent years due to its potential roles in connective tissue development and repair. Unlike more commonly studied collagens, COL29A1 is classified as a fibril-forming collagen, which is critical for the structural integrity of various tissues, including the skin, tendons, and cartilaginous structures. Its unique triple-helix structure provides tensile strength and elasticity, making it essential for normal physiological functions. Research has suggested that COL29A1 may play a significant role in pathological conditions such as fibrosis and osteoarthritis, wherein abnormal collagen deposition occurs. The recombinant expression of COL29A1 protein allows for in-depth studies of its biochemical properties, interactions with other extracellular matrix components, and its influence on cellular behaviors. Moreover, understanding the molecular mechanisms surrounding COL29A1 can pave the way for therapeutic interventions in diseases associated with connective tissue dysfunction. Given the increasing prevalence of collagen-related disorders, the exploration of COL29A1 not only enhances our knowledge of collagen biology but also opens new avenues for regenerative medicine and tissue engineering applications. Thus, the study of COL29A1 recombinant proteins represents a vital area of research in both basic and applied biomedical fields.
