Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
COL10A1, also known as type X collagen, is a crucial protein found primarily in the cartilage of developing bones and is essential for endochondral ossification. Its role is pivotal during skeletal development, particularly in hypertrophic chondrocytes, where it contributes to maintaining the integrity and functionality of the growth plate. Research on COL10A1 recombinant protein has gained traction in the fields of developmental biology and regenerative medicine, as it could provide insights into disorders such as osteoarthritis and other skeletal dysplasias. By studying COL10A1, scientists aim to unravel the molecular mechanisms underlying bone development and pathology, potentially paving the way for therapeutic strategies to treat cartilage-related diseases. The ability to produce COL10A1 as a recombinant protein is significant for understanding its biochemical properties, interactions with other extracellular matrix components, and its influence on cell behavior in chondrogenesis. Moreover, the development of COL10A1-based biomaterials may offer innovative directions for tissue engineering applications, ultimately enhancing repair strategies for bone and cartilage injuries.
