Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
DCLK1 (doublecortin-like kinase 1) is a member of the doublecortin (DC) family of proteins, which play crucial roles in neuronal development and differentiation. Emerging research has suggested that DCLK1 is not only involved in neurogenesis but may also be implicated in various neurological disorders, including neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative diseases. Its unique expression pattern, particularly in adult neural stem cells and certain tumors, underscores its potential as a biomarker and therapeutic target. DCLK1 is characterized by its kinase domain and two doublecortin domains, which are believed to mediate its interactions with microtubules and other cytoskeletal components, influencing cellular processes such as migration, morphology, and signaling pathways. The recombinant expression of DCLK1 allows for in-depth studies of its functional properties and interactions at the molecular level, providing insights into its role in disease mechanisms. Researchers are particularly focused on elucidating the signaling pathways involved in DCLK1 function, its impact on cell proliferation and survival, and how its dysregulation may contribute to tumorigenesis, especially in cancers of neuronal origin. Furthermore, understanding the structural and functional aspects of DCLK1 through recombinant protein studies can pave the way for the development of targeted therapies and interventions in conditions linked to its altered expression. Overall, the investigation of DCLK1 recombinant protein holds promise for advancing our understanding of its biological significance and potential clinical applications.
