Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SPHK1 (Sphingosine Kinase 1) is an important enzyme involved in sphingolipid metabolism, converting sphingosine to sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P), a bioactive lipid mediator that plays critical roles in various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, survival, migration, and apoptosis. Dysregulation of SPHK1 has been implicated in various diseases, such as cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and neurodegenerative conditions. Given its significant role in cell signaling and disease progression, SPHK1 has emerged as a potential therapeutic target. The production and characterization of recombinant SPHK1 proteins have become crucial for elucidating its structure-function relationship and for developing inhibitors or modulators that can interfere with its activity. Recent advances in recombinant DNA technology and protein expression systems have facilitated the high-yield production of SPHK1, allowing for in-depth biochemical studies and structural analyses. Understanding the functional dynamics of SPHK1 through recombinant techniques not only helps in deciphering its cellular mechanisms but also aids in the rational design of novel therapeutic strategies aimed at diseases linked to sphingolipid signaling pathways.
