Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PDK4 (Pyruvate Dehydrogenase Kinase 4) is a crucial enzyme that plays a significant role in regulating energy metabolism, particularly in the context of glucose and fatty acid oxidation. It is part of the pyruvate dehydrogenase complex regulation, which is essential for converting pyruvate into acetyl-CoA, thus linking glycolysis and the citric acid cycle. The overexpression of PDK4 has been implicated in various metabolic disorders, including insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, and obesity, making it an important target for therapeutic interventions. Additionally, PDK4 is involved in the adaptive response of cells to stress, such as hypoxia or nutrient deprivation, by modulating metabolic pathways to favor anaerobic conditions. Research on PDK4 recombinant protein offers valuable insights into its structure and function, facilitating the development of specific inhibitors or modulators that could improve metabolic health. Understanding PDK4’s function in diverse physiological and pathological contexts provides a foundation for exploring novel strategies to combat metabolic diseases, highlighting the enzyme's potential as a biomarker and therapeutic target in metabolic syndrome and related disorders.
