Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
COL2A1, encoding type II collagen, is a crucial gene involved in cartilage formation and maintenance. Mutations in COL2A1 are linked to various skeletal disorders, including achondrogenesis and osteogenesis imperfecta, highlighting its importance in connective tissue biology and skeletal development. The study of recombinant COL2A1 protein has gained significance in the field of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering, providing insights into cartilage repair and treatment strategies for degenerative diseases. By producing COL2A1 in a controlled environment, researchers aim to understand its structural properties, biological functions, and interactions with other extracellular matrix components. Additionally, recombinant COL2A1 can be used to develop biomaterials that closely mimic natural cartilage, thereby offering a potential solution for joint diseases and injuries. As such, the exploration of COL2A1 recombinant proteins is not only pivotal for elucidating the pathophysiology of collagen-related disorders but also for advancing therapeutic approaches in orthopedic and regenerative medicine.
