Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SEC23A, a critical component of the Sec23/Sec24 complex in the COPII vesicle transport system, plays a vital role in the export of proteins from the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) to the Golgi apparatus. Deficiencies or mutations in SEC23A are linked to various developmental disorders, particularly those affecting skeletal and connective tissues, such as achondrogenesis type 2 and osteogenesis imperfecta. These conditions underscore the importance of SEC23A in maintaining proper cellular functions and protein trafficking. Recent studies have focused on the structural and functional characterization of SEC23A to better understand its role in vesicular transport; investigation of its reconstitution into artificial membranes and its interactions with other transport cofactors have revealed insights into the mechanisms governing protein sorting and exit from the ER. Furthermore, the production of recombinant SEC23A proteins has enabled researchers to explore the effects of specific mutations and their implications for cellular pathways, paving the way for potential therapeutic interventions. The growing body of research emphasizes SEC23A's significance not only in fundamental biological processes but also in the context of human disease and potential biotechnological applications.
