Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SEC16B is a protein that plays a crucial role in the secretory pathway of eukaryotic cells, specifically involved in the trafficking of proteins from the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) to the Golgi apparatus. It acts as a scaffolding protein, facilitating the assembly of the coat protein complex II (COPII) that is essential for the budding of transport vesicles from the ER. Research on SEC16B has gained significance due to its implications in various cellular processes, including protein synthesis, secretion, and the maintenance of cellular homeostasis. Mutations or dysregulation of SEC16B have been linked to several disorders, such as neurodegenerative diseases and metabolic syndromes, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target. Furthermore, understanding the mechanisms by which SEC16B regulates vesicle formation and trafficking can offer insights into fundamental cellular mechanisms and contribute to the development of strategies to combat diseases associated with protein misfolding and secretion. The ongoing studies on SEC16B explore its molecular interactions, the effects of different mutations, and its role in cell biology, aiming to elucidate its function and therapeutic potential. The importance of SEC16B in cellular physiology makes it a compelling subject for ongoing biochemistry and molecular biology research.
