Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CHRND (Cholinergic Receptor Nicotinic Delta Subunit) is a significant protein that plays a crucial role in the formation and function of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs), which are vital for neurotransmission in the nervous system. Research on CHRND has gained importance due to its involvement in neuromuscular junctions and its potential links to various neurological disorders. Alterations in nAChR function, including the delta subunit, have been implicated in conditions such as myasthenia gravis, Alzheimer's disease, and schizophrenia. Studying CHRND at the molecular level can provide insights into receptor assembly, signaling pathways, and potential therapeutic targets. Recombinant CHRND protein is therefore essential for in vitro studies that examine its structural and functional characteristics, as well as its interactions with other subunits and ligands. Such investigations can aid in understanding receptor pharmacology and contribute to the development of drugs that selectively target nAChRs for therapeutic purposes. Moreover, the expression of recombinant CHRND allows researchers to explore the effects of mutations and investigate the mechanisms underlying receptor-related pathologies, paving the way for innovative treatment strategies for neurodegenerative diseases and other related disorders.
