  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

SCNN1D, also known as the epithelial sodium channel (ENaC) delta subunit, has emerged as a significant focus in physiological and pathophysiological research due to its critical role in ion transport and fluid balance in various tissues, particularly in the kidneys and lungs. This protein is part of the ENaC family, which regulates sodium reabsorption and, consequently, blood pressure homeostasis. Mutations or dysregulations in SCNN1D can lead to severe clinical conditions such as pseudohypoaldosteronism type 1, a disorder characterized by salt-wasting and hyperkalemia. Given its physiological importance, understanding the structure and function of SCNN1D is essential for developing targeted therapies. Researchers have leveraged techniques such as recombinant protein expression to investigate the functional properties of SCNN1D, enhancing our understanding of its interactions with other channel subunits and regulatory proteins. Characterizing SCNN1D at a molecular level will not only elucidate its role in normal physiology but also provide insights into the mechanisms underlying associated diseases, paving the way for potential therapeutic interventions.
