Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CCDC40 (Coiled-Coil Domain Containing 40) is a critical protein that plays a significant role in the formation and function of cilia and flagella, which are essential for various cellular processes including motility, signaling, and development. Its importance is underscored by its involvement in the assembly of the axoneme structure of cilia, where it contributes to the organization of microtubules and the spatial arrangement necessary for proper ciliary function. Mutations in the CCDC40 gene have been linked to a variety of ciliopathies, a group of disorders characterized by defects in cilia, leading to severe developmental issues and organ dysfunction. Research into CCDC40 recombinant protein aims to elucidate its structural and functional roles, providing insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying ciliary assembly and maintenance. By generating and studying recombinant CCDC40, scientists can investigate its interactions with other ciliary proteins, explore its contribution to the mechanical properties of cilia, and assess its potential as a therapeutic target. Understanding the dynamics of CCDC40 can pave the way for novel therapeutic strategies to address ciliary disorders, highlighting its significance in both basic biology and clinical contexts.
