Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
RCAN1, or Regulator of Calcineurin 1, is a crucial protein involved in the regulation of Calcineurin, a calcium/calmodulin-dependent serine/threonine phosphatase. Research into RCAN1 has gained significant attention due to its role in various physiological and pathological processes, including cardiovascular diseases, neurodegenerative disorders, and cancer. The protein is known to influence cellular signaling pathways, particularly those related to calcium homeostasis and immune responses. Elevated levels of RCAN1 have been linked to cardiac hypertrophy and other complications associated with heart disease, making it a potential therapeutic target. Additionally, studies suggest that RCAN1 may play a significant role in neuronal cell survival and apoptosis, implicating it in conditions such as Alzheimer's disease. The understanding of RCAN1's molecular function and its interactions with other cellular components is crucial, as it could unveil new strategies for treating diseases where calcium signaling is disrupted. Recombinant RCAN1 proteins are often produced for research to investigate their functional properties, post-translational modifications, and potential as biomarkers or drug targets. The ongoing exploration of RCAN1 continues to shed light on its diverse roles in cellular physiology and pathology, emphasizing its importance in health and disease management.
