Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PDE2A (phosphodiesterase type 2A) is an essential enzyme that plays a critical role in cellular signaling by hydrolyzing cyclic nucleotides, particularly cAMP and cGMP, which are key signaling molecules involved in various physiological processes. The regulation of these cyclic nucleotides is crucial for diverse functions such as neuronal signaling, cardiac function, and endocrine responses. Dysregulation of PDE2A has been implicated in several pathophysiological conditions, including heart failure, depression, and neurodegenerative diseases. As a result, PDE2A has emerged as a potential therapeutic target, making the understanding of its structure and function vital for drug development. Recombinant PDE2A protein is commonly produced for such studies, facilitating investigations into enzyme kinetics, substrate specificity, and interaction with potential inhibitors. By utilizing advanced biotechnological techniques, researchers can produce large quantities of purified PDE2A, allowing for detailed structural and functional analyses. Characterizing this enzyme at the molecular level aids in elucidating the mechanisms through which it regulates intracellular signaling pathways and helps in the design of selective pharmacological agents aimed at modulating its activity. Overall, the recombinant PDE2A protein serves as a valuable tool in the research community, contributing to the understanding of cyclic nucleotide signaling and opening avenues for innovative therapeutic interventions.
