Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
AIM2 (Absent in Melanoma 2) is a crucial protein that plays a significant role in the innate immune response, particularly in recognizing cytosolic DNA derived from pathogens or damaged host cells. The interest in AIM2 has surged in recent years due to its ability to form inflammasomes, large multi-protein complexes that activate inflammatory responses through caspase-1, leading to the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines like IL-1β and IL-18. Studies have shown that dysregulation of AIM2 and its associated pathways can contribute to various diseases, including autoimmune disorders and cancer. Consequently, research efforts have focused on the development of recombinant AIM2 proteins to better understand its structure, function, and role in disease. Characterizing AIM2 in vitro involves producing and purifying recombinant proteins, which are essential for functional assays and structural analyses. Moreover, studying AIM2’s interaction with other proteins and its regulatory mechanisms could unveil potential therapeutic targets to modulate inflammatory responses. Given the protein’s pivotal role, ongoing research aims to elucidate AIM2's complex dynamics within the immune system, which may lead to novel strategies for treating inflammatory diseases, enhancing vaccine efficacy, and combating infections due to its involvement in pathogen detection and immune response activation.
