Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PRODH2 (Proline Dehydrogenase 2) is an enzyme involved in the metabolism of proline, an amino acid crucial for various physiological processes. It plays a significant role in the urea cycle and is implicated in cellular responses to oxidative stress. Research into PRODH2 has gained attention due to its potential links to various health conditions, including neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, and metabolic disorders. Starvation or stress conditions can upregulate PRODH2 expression, suggesting its involvement in cellular adaptation mechanisms. Given the rising incidence of disorders linked to oxidative stress, understanding PRODH2's structure and function is imperative. Biochemical studies have focused on its enzymatic activity, substrate specificity, and regulation, while molecular biology techniques have helped elucidate its genetic regulation and expression patterns. The recombinant production of PRODH2 provides a platform for investigating its properties in detail and facilitates the exploration of its role in metabolic pathways. Additionally, studying PRODH2's interactions with other proteins can reveal its potential as a therapeutic target. Hence, PRODH2 stands out as a critical subject of study in the field of metabolic research, with implications for developing novel strategies for disease prevention and treatment. This research not only enhances our understanding of proline metabolism but also contributes to the broader context of how metabolic enzymes influence health and disease.
