  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CDH17, also known as cadherin-17, is a member of the cadherin superfamily, which plays a crucial role in cell adhesion and signaling processes. It is predominantly expressed in the gastrointestinal tract and has been linked to various biological functions, including tissue development, maintenance of epithelial integrity, and modulation of cell proliferation and differentiation. Recent studies have highlighted its importance in several diseases, particularly in gastrointestinal cancers and inflammatory bowel diseases. The aberrant expression of CDH17 has been associated with tumor progression, metastasis, and poor prognosis in patients with colorectal cancer, making it a potential biomarker and therapeutic target. To further investigate its functions and therapeutic potential, researchers have focused on the production and characterization of recombinant CDH17 proteins. These recombinant proteins aid in elucidating the molecular mechanisms of CDH17 in cell adhesion and its interactions with other proteins. Furthermore, they enable the exploration of CDH17 as a target for novel drug development, providing insights into potential interventions for diseases associated with dysfunctional cell adhesion. Overall, the study of CDH17 reaffirms the critical role of cadherins in health and disease, presenting opportunities for innovative therapeutic strategies aimed at modulating its activity in various pathologies.
