Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Interleukin-22 (IL-22) is a cytokine that plays a crucial role in the immune response and tissue homeostasis, particularly in the context of epithelial health. It is primarily produced by T-helper 22 (Th22) cells, as well as other immune cells such as innate lymphoid cells. Research into IL-22 has gained momentum due to its dual functions: it can promote tissue repair and regeneration while also being implicated in various inflammatory and autoimmune conditions. Elevated levels of IL-22 have been observed in disorders such as psoriasis, inflammatory bowel disease, and allergies. As a result, understanding the mechanisms by which IL-22 operates has become a focus for therapeutic developments. Recombinant IL-22 proteins have been produced for use in both experimental and clinical studies, offering insights into its signaling pathways and potential as a therapeutic target. These studies aim to harness IL-22’s regenerative properties while mitigating its role in harmful inflammatory processes. By elucidating the biological functions and pathways of IL-22, researchers hope to uncover novel strategies for treating diseases characterized by epithelial dysfunction and chronic inflammation.
