Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Interleukin-8 (IL-8), a chemokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family, plays a crucial role in the inflammatory response by mediating the recruitment and activation of neutrophils and other immune cells to sites of inflammation. Originally identified as a product of activated macrophages, IL-8 has been implicated in various pathological conditions, including autoimmune diseases, infections, and cancer. The recombinant form of IL-8 has gained significant attention in research due to its potential therapeutic applications and its utility as a biomarker for disease progression. Understanding the structure-function relationship of IL-8 through recombinant technology allows researchers to explore its biological mechanisms further and design IL-8-based interventions. The production of recombinant IL-8 in suitable expression systems, such as bacteria or mammalian cells, enables the characterization of its signaling pathways and interactions with specific receptors. This research not only enhances our understanding of IL-8's role in health and disease but also opens avenues for developing novel therapeutic strategies targeting IL-8 or its receptors to modulate inflammatory responses in various clinical settings. Overall, the study of recombinant IL-8 is pivotal in elucidating its function in immune regulation and its potential as a therapeutic target.
