  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

GPC6 (Glypican-6) is a member of the glypican family of heparan sulfate proteoglycans, which are important for various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and signaling. GPC6 is known to play a significant role in developmental biology, particularly in the regulation of growth factors and morphogens during embryogenesis. Its interactions with key signaling pathways, such as the Wnt and Hedgehog pathways, suggest its involvement in crucial developmental processes and tissue homeostasis. Aberrant expression or functional mutations of GPC6 have been implicated in various diseases, including cancers and developmental disorders, making it a target of interest for therapeutic research. The study of recombinant GPC6 proteins is vital for elucidating its biological functions, mechanisms of action, and potential applications in regenerative medicine and cancer therapy. By producing and characterizing GPC6 in a recombinant form, researchers aim to better understand its signaling capabilities and interactions with other cellular components, which could pave the way for novel treatment strategies that harness its biological properties to influence cell behavior and tissue repair. Understanding the roles of GPC6 in health and disease may also contribute to the identification of biomarkers and new therapeutic targets in oncology and developmental medicine. Overall, GPC6 research is positioned at the intersection of developmental biology, cancer research, and regenerative medicine, highlighting its potential impact on understanding complex biological systems and developing innovative therapeutic approaches.
