  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

MAN1B1, a mannosidase enzyme, plays a crucial role in the N-glycan processing pathway within the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) of eukaryotic cells. This enzyme is responsible for the hydrolysis of specific mannosyl residues from N-linked glycoproteins, which is essential for proper protein folding and quality control mechanisms in the ER. Mutations in the MAN1B1 gene have been associated with congenital disorders of glycosylation, leading to significant developmental and physiological abnormalities. The study of MAN1B1 recombinant protein is particularly important for understanding the enzyme's structure-function relationship, substrate specificity, and its involvement in glycoprotein maturation. By producing MAN1B1 in a recombinant form, researchers aim to gain insights into its catalytic mechanism and its potential as a therapeutic target. Additionally, the recombinant protein can serve as a valuable tool for studying the effects of glycosylation on protein stability and function, opening avenues for biopharmaceutical applications. Enhanced understanding of MAN1B1 and its role in glycosylation may contribute to the development of novel strategies for treating glycosylation disorders and improving protein production protocols in biotechnology. As such, the investigation of MAN1B1 recombinant protein is a pivotal area of research in molecular biology and therapeutic development.
