  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CNTNAP1, or Contactin-Associated Protein 1, is a member of the Neurexin superfamily, which plays a crucial role in the development and maintenance of the nervous system. It primarily functions in the formation of axoglial junctions in the central nervous system, promoting interactions between neurons and glial cells. Mutations in the CNTNAP1 gene have been linked to various neurological disorders, including epilepsy, cognitive impairment, and autism spectrum disorders. Research on CNTNAP1 recombinant proteins is essential for understanding its molecular mechanisms and physiological roles. By producing and characterizing these proteins, scientists aim to investigate their binding interactions, structural properties, and functional implications in neurodevelopment. Furthermore, studying the effects of CNTNAP1 on neural circuit formation and synaptic transmission can provide insights into the pathophysiology of related diseases. The exploration of CNTNAP1 recombinant proteins not only enhances our knowledge of neuronal function but also paves the way for potential therapeutic strategies targeting CNTNAP1-related conditions. Thus, gaining a deeper understanding of CNTNAP1 through recombinant protein research is vital for advancing neuroscience and developing interventions for neurological disorders.
