  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

PIAS2 (Protein Inhibitor of Activated STAT 2) is an essential member of the PIAS family of proteins, which are known to modulate signal transducer and activator of transcription (STAT) signaling pathways. This family plays a critical role in various biological processes, including immune responses, inflammation, and cell differentiation. PIAS2 specifically functions as a SUMO E3 ligase, facilitating the post-translational modification of target proteins through SUMOylation, which can influence their stability, localization, and activity. Research into PIAS2 has gained momentum due to its involvement in various diseases, including cancer and autoimmune disorders. Understanding PIAS2's role in regulating STAT signaling can unveil novel therapeutic targets and strategies to combat these conditions. Additionally, the study of PIAS2's interactions with other signaling proteins and its regulatory mechanisms offers insights into the complex network of intracellular signaling cascades. Given the intricate interplay between PIAS2, SUMOylation, and STAT pathways, there is a growing interest in developing PIAS2-based recombinant proteins for experimental and therapeutic applications, aiming to harness their regulatory potential to manipulate immune responses and improve disease outcomes.
