Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PI4KII, or Phosphatidylinositol 4-kinase II, is a crucial enzyme involved in the synthesis of phosphatidylinositol 4-phosphate (PI4P), a lipid molecule that plays a significant role in various cellular processes, including membrane trafficking, signal transduction, and cytoskeletal organization. This enzyme is highly conserved across species and is particularly important for maintaining cellular homeostasis. Recent studies have highlighted PI4KII's involvement in several pathological conditions, including viral infections, cancer, and neurodegenerative diseases, making it a potential therapeutic target. Given its pivotal role in the regulation of intracellular processes, researchers are increasingly focused on understanding the structure-function relationship of PI4KII, the molecular mechanisms governing its activity, and how its dysregulation can lead to disease. The exploration of recombinant PI4KII proteins serves as a foundational step in elucidating these mechanisms, enabling the development of specific inhibitors or modulators that could be used for clinical interventions. Furthermore, investigating the interactions between PI4KII and various cellular partners may uncover novel pathways that are critical for cellular physiology and pathology. Through such studies, scientists aim to provide insights that could inform drug design and therapeutic strategies aimed at restoring normal PI4KII function in disease contexts.
