Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PFKFB4 (6-phosphofructo-2-kinase/fructose-2,6-bisphosphatase 4) is a crucial enzyme in the regulation of glucose metabolism, particularly in cancer and metabolic diseases. It plays a significant role in controlling the levels of fructose-2,6-bisphosphate, a pivotal activator of glycolysis and inhibitor of gluconeogenesis. Research has shown that PFKFB4 is overexpressed in various tumors, contributing to the Warburg effect, where cancer cells preferentially utilize glycolysis for energy production even in the presence of oxygen. This metabolic shift supports rapid cell proliferation and survival in harsh tumor microenvironments. Given its vital role in tumor metabolism, PFKFB4 has emerged as a promising therapeutic target, with potential for the development of small molecule inhibitors aimed at disrupting its function. Furthermore, understanding the structural and functional aspects of PFKFB4 through the expression of recombinant proteins can provide insights into its enzymatic regulation and interactions with other metabolic pathways. This could pave the way for novel strategies in cancer treatment and metabolic disorder management, enhancing the effectiveness of current therapeutic modalities. As a result, ongoing studies centered on the characterization and manipulation of PFKFB4 may significantly advance our knowledge of metabolic diseases and cancer biology.
