Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PEX16 is a crucial protein implicated in the biogenesis of peroxisomes, organelles involved in various metabolic processes, including fatty acid oxidation and the detoxification of reactive oxygen species. Research into PEX16 has gained momentum due to its role in the import of peroxisomal membrane proteins and the assembly of peroxisomes, which are essential for cellular health. Mutations in the PEX16 gene can lead to peroxisomal biogenesis disorders (PBDs), a group of inherited metabolic diseases that can result in severe neurological impairment and other systemic issues. These disorders highlight the critical function of peroxisomes in human physiology. The study of PEX16 not only provides insights into the molecular mechanisms of peroxisome formation but also offers potential avenues for therapeutic intervention in PBDs. Recent advances in genetic and biochemical techniques have enabled researchers to explore the structure-function relationships of PEX16 and its interactions with other PEX proteins, further elucidating its role in peroxisome dynamics. Understanding PEX16's functions and regulations is fundamental for both basic cellular biology and the development of treatments for related diseases.
