Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PC4, or Positive Coactivator 4, is a multifunctional protein that plays a critical role in the regulation of gene expression and cell differentiation. It is known for its involvement in the transcriptional activation of various genes, particularly those associated with developmental processes and response to cellular stress. The research on PC4 is motivated by its potential implications in understanding fundamental biological mechanisms and its connection to various diseases, including cancer. By acting as a coactivator for transcription factors, PC4 facilitates the assembly of the transcriptional machinery at promoters, enhancing the expression of target genes. Studies have shown that PC4 interacts with multiple proteins, underscoring its significance in forming specific protein complexes that regulate transcriptional activity. Additionally, alterations in PC4 expression or function have been linked to tumorigenesis, making it a potential biomarker for cancer progression. The recombinant production of PC4 allows researchers to investigate its structure-function relationships and interaction partners, thereby shedding light on its mechanistic roles within the cell. This knowledge could pave the way for novel therapeutic strategies aimed at modulating PC4 activity in diseases characterized by dysregulated gene expression. As such, the study of PC4 and its recombinant variants is an important area of research within molecular biology and cancer therapeutics.
