Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
P2RX5, a member of the P2X receptor family, is an ATP-gated ion channel that plays a critical role in various physiological processes, including neurotransmission, inflammation, and cell proliferation. Research has indicated that P2RX5 is involved in painful neuropathic conditions, making it a potential therapeutic target for pain management. The receptor's activation leads to the influx of cations, predominantly calcium ions, which subsequently triggers downstream signaling pathways. Understanding the structure and function of P2RX5 is essential, as it could unveil novel mechanisms of disease and provide insights into designing targeted drugs. Recent advances in recombinant protein technology allow for the expression and purification of P2RX5, facilitating detailed biochemical and pharmacological studies. This research is particularly important in the context of studying receptor-ligand interactions and exploring the receptor's role in different cellular contexts. By elucidating the signaling pathways and functional mechanisms associated with P2RX5, scientists aim to develop innovative strategies for treating conditions related to its dysregulation. Overall, the investigation of P2RX5 recombinant protein represents a promising avenue for both basic science and translational research, particularly in the field of pain management and neurological disorders.
