  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CDK11A, a member of the cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) family, plays a crucial role in regulating the cell cycle and is involved in various cellular processes such as transcription, RNA processing, and mitosis. Recent studies have highlighted its significance in cancer biology, where dysregulation of CDK11A contributes to tumorigenesis and cancer progression. The protein exists in multiple isoforms due to alternative splicing, which introduces functional diversity and regulatory complexities. These isoforms exhibit distinct roles in cellular function; for instance, CDK11A-Thr232 phosphorylation is linked to the modulation of transcriptional activities, while its involvement in the mitotic phase suggests a critical role in cell division. The study of CDK11A has garnered attention for its potential as a therapeutic target, especially in cancer, as inhibiting its activity may slow down cell proliferation or promote apoptotic pathways in cancerous cells. As researchers continue to explore the structural and functional properties of CDK11A, the generation of recombinant CDK11A protein has become essential for understanding its mechanisms of action and developing potential inhibitors. This research aims to provide insights into how CDK11A functions at a molecular level and its implications in disease, paving the way for novel therapeutic strategies in oncology and beyond.
