Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
A-kinase anchoring proteins (AKAPs) play a crucial role in organizing signaling complexes within cells by anchoring protein kinase A (PKA) to specific subcellular locations. Among these, AKAP2 has garnered significant attention due to its involvement in various physiological processes and potential implications in diseases, including cancer and cardiac dysfunction. AKAP2 facilitates the precise localization of PKA, thereby influencing signaling pathways that govern cell growth, proliferation, and apoptosis. Recent studies have highlighted its role in modulating cellular responses to stress and hormonal stimuli, underscoring its importance in cellular adaptation and homeostasis. The recombinant expression of AKAP2 offers a valuable tool for studying its structure-function relationships and interactions with other signaling molecules. By generating and purifying AKAP2 as a recombinant protein, researchers can investigate its molecular mechanisms in greater detail, including its role in spatially directing PKA signaling and its contributions to disease processes. Understanding AKAP2's function could lead to novel therapeutic strategies targeting aberrant signaling pathways in various pathological conditions.
