Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
TOMM20 (Translocase of Outer Mitochondrial Membrane 20) is an essential protein involved in the import of nuclear-encoded mitochondrial proteins, playing a critical role in mitochondrial biogenesis and function. Research into TOMM20 is primarily driven by its significance in mitochondrial health, which is increasingly recognized as pivotal to cellular homeostasis and energy production. Dysregulation of TOMM20 and mitochondrial dysfunction are associated with various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders, cancer, and metabolic syndromes. The interest in TOMM20 has grown as scientists seek to uncover the molecular mechanisms of mitochondrial import pathways and their implications in both health and disease. The study of TOMM20's structure and function provides insights into the complex interactions between mitochondria and other cellular components, which is crucial for understanding the role of mitochondrial dysfunction in aging and pathogenesis. Advances in biotechnology, including recombinant protein expression techniques, have enabled researchers to produce and study TOMM20 in detail, paving the way for potential therapeutic strategies aimed at mitigating diseases linked to mitochondrial impairments. By elucidating the functional properties of TOMM20, researchers aim to develop targeted interventions that can improve mitochondrial function and overall cellular health, leading to novel treatments for mitochondrial-related diseases.
