Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
P2RX2 is a member of the purinergic receptor family, specifically classified as a P2X receptor, which is an ionotropic receptor activated by extracellular ATP. This receptor plays a crucial role in various physiological processes including neurotransmission, pain perception, and inflammation. The study of P2RX2 has gained significant attention due to its potential implications in neurobiology and pathology, particularly in conditions such as chronic pain, neurodegenerative diseases, and psychiatric disorders. Research has shown that P2RX2 can modulate synaptic transmission and has a role in the development and maintenance of neural circuits. Moreover, alterations in P2RX2 expression and function have been linked to excitotoxicity and inflammatory responses in the central nervous system. Therefore, the production of recombinant P2RX2 proteins is essential for biochemical and structural studies that can facilitate drug discovery and the development of therapeutic interventions targeting this receptor. Understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying P2RX2 function could provide insights into new treatment strategies for a variety of neurological disorders. As such, the investigation of P2RX2 recombinant proteins is a crucial step in elucidating the broader role of purinergic signaling in health and disease.
