Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
APOBEC3F (Apolipoprotein B mRNA Editing Enzyme Catalytic Polypeptide-like 3F) is a member of the APOBEC family of cytidine deaminases, which play a critical role in the innate immune response against viral infections, particularly retroviruses. The significance of APOBEC3F lies in its ability to edit viral RNA by deamination, leading to hypermutation and subsequent inactivation of the viral genome. This protein has garnered attention in the context of HIV-1 pathogenesis, where it acts as an antiviral factor by introducing mutations in the viral DNA that impair its replication. However, certain HIV-1 strains have evolved mechanisms to counteract APOBEC3F's activity, highlighting the ongoing evolutionary battle between host defenses and viral adaptation. Research on APOBEC3F is vital not only for understanding its role in viral resistance but also for its implications in cancer biology, as aberrant expression or activity of APOBEC enzymes has been linked to mutagenesis in various cancers. Investigating the structural and functional aspects of APOBEC3F, along with its interactions with other cellular proteins and viral components, can provide insights into its regulation and potential as a therapeutic target. Overall, the study of APOBEC3F is crucial for unraveling the complexities of host-virus interactions and developing novel strategies for combating viral infections and cancer.
