Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
OR8D2 is a member of the olfactory receptor family, which plays a crucial role in the sensory perception of odorants. Despite its classification as an olfactory receptor, OR8D2 has garnered substantial interest beyond the traditional sense of smell, as evidence suggests its involvement in various physiological processes, including potential roles in immune response and tumor biology. The research surrounding OR8D2 has intensified due to its unique expression patterns in different tissues and its association with certain pathophysiological conditions. Furthermore, the reconstitution of OR8D2 as a recombinant protein enables the exploration of its structural and functional properties, which could provide insights into its signaling mechanisms and interactions with ligands. Understanding OR8D2 at the molecular level may also shed light on its potential therapeutic applications, particularly in cancer and metabolic disorders. With advancements in protein engineering and characterization techniques, the study of OR8D2 and its recombinant forms presents an exciting frontier that bridges sensory biology with broader biological functions. The investigation of OR8D2's role and mechanisms may pave the way for novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategies, highlighting the importance of this seemingly niche receptor in the context of human health and disease.
