Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
OR8D1, a member of the olfactory receptor family, has garnered interest in the field of molecular biology and neuroscience due to its intriguing role in human olfaction and potential implications in various physiological processes. Research indicates that OR8D1 is not only involved in the traditional sense of smell but may also participate in non-canonical pathways that influence behaviors and responses to environmental stimuli. Its expression patterns are particularly significant in certain tissues, suggesting a broader functional role beyond olfactory signaling. Moreover, the study of OR8D1 as a recombinant protein enables scientists to elucidate its three-dimensional structure, interaction with odorant ligands, and downstream signaling mechanisms. This research could provide insights into how olfactory receptors contribute to complex sensory processing and may reveal novel therapeutic targets for olfactory dysfunction or other related disorders. The recombinant expression of OR8D1 in various systems also paves the way for high-throughput screening of potential ligands, further expanding our understanding of olfactory receptor biology. As such, OR8D1 represents a fascinating avenue for exploring the intersection of sensory perception, molecular signaling, and potential clinical applications.
