Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
OR8B4 is a member of the olfactory receptor (OR) family, which plays a crucial role in the detection of odorants and initiation of olfactory signaling pathways. This specific receptor has garnered attention due to its unique expression pattern and its potential roles in various physiological processes, including the perception of smells and possibly influencing behaviors related to scent. Recent studies have highlighted the importance of OR8B4 in understanding the molecular mechanisms of olfaction and its interaction with different odor molecules. Additionally, as a G-protein-coupled receptor, OR8B4 offers an intriguing target for research aimed at elucidating its structure-function relationship, signaling mechanisms, and potential implications in health and disease. Advances in recombinant protein technology have facilitated the production and purification of OR8B4, allowing for more in-depth functional studies and the characterization of its ligand binding properties. Understanding OR8B4's role in the olfactory system may not only enhance our knowledge of sensory biology but also have applications in fields such as fragrance development, flavor science, and even therapeutic strategies for olfactory-related disorders. Overall, the study of OR8B4 serves as a vital link in the broader context of sensory perception and its impact on human experience.
