Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
OR7C2 is a member of the olfactory receptor (OR) gene family, which plays a crucial role in the detection of odorants and the modulation of sensory perception. The research into OR7C2 has gained attention due to its potential involvement in the human sense of smell and its possible links to specific pheromonal signals that may influence social and reproductive behaviors. Studies indicate that variations in OR7C2 expression can relate to certain psychological and physiological responses to olfactory stimuli. Additionally, the receptor has garnered interest in the field of neurobiology and genetic research, as it may contribute to a better understanding of olfactory function and mechanisms underlying scent-related behaviors. Recent advancements in techniques such as recombinant protein technology have enabled researchers to produce and analyze OR7C2 in a controlled environment, paving the way for further investigations into its structure-function relationship and interactions with various ligands. This research is not only significant for basic science but also holds potential implications for the development of olfactory-related therapies and enhancements in scent-based marketing strategies. Moreover, as olfactory receptors are linked to the broader olfactory signaling pathway, findings related to OR7C2 may offer insights into the complex neurobiological processes that govern human olfaction. Thus, OR7C2 represents a promising target for exploring the intricate connections between genetics, neurobiology, and sensory perception.
