Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ALOX5, or lipoxygenase-5, is a crucial enzyme involved in the metabolism of arachidonic acid, leading to the synthesis of leukotrienes, which play significant roles in inflammation and immune responses. The research surrounding ALOX5 recombinant protein has gained momentum due to its potential implications in various inflammatory diseases, including asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, and cardiovascular disorders. Studies have shown that dysregulation of ALOX5 activity can lead to excessive leukotriene production, contributing to pathological conditions. By producing recombinant ALOX5, researchers aim to better understand its enzymatic mechanisms, substrate specificity, and regulatory pathways, facilitating the development of targeted therapies. Moreover, the recombinant protein serves as a valuable tool for screening potential inhibitors that may mitigate ALOX5 activity and alleviate associated inflammatory processes. This line of research not only enhances our understanding of leukotriene biosynthesis but also opens new avenues for therapeutic intervention in chronic inflammatory diseases, emphasizing the importance of ALOX5 as a target for drug development and as a subject of biochemical investigations.
