  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

GRB (Growth Factor Receptor-Bound Protein) is a crucial adaptor protein that plays a significant role in the signaling pathways activated by receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs), which are essential for cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. The study of GRB proteins has garnered attention due to their involvement in various physiological processes and their implication in numerous diseases, including cancer. GRB proteins facilitate the transmission of signals from activated RTKs to downstream effectors, primarily through the recruitment of other signaling molecules that contribute to critical pathways such as the RAS/MAPK cascade. The intricate mechanisms by which GRB proteins mediate these interactions have made them attractive targets for therapeutic intervention. Furthermore, GRB protein dysfunction has been linked to uncontrolled cellular growth and malignancy, highlighting the need for in-depth research into their structural and functional properties. Recombinant GRB proteins are being produced to better understand their roles in cellular signaling and to explore their potential as biomarkers or therapeutic targets in cancer treatment. Through techniques such as X-ray crystallography, molecular modeling, and various biochemical assays, researchers aim to elucidate the precise mechanisms by which GRB proteins operate, paving the way for innovative approaches in cancer therapies that specifically disrupt aberrant signaling pathways associated with GRB proteins. This growing body of research underscores the importance of GRB proteins not only as fundamental components of cellular communication but also as key players in the development of targeted treatments for complex diseases.
