Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of the OR2B6 recombinant protein has gained significant attention due to its role as a member of the olfactory receptor (OR) family, which is crucial for the sense of smell in mammals. Olfactory receptors are G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) that play a vital role in detecting odorant molecules and initiating neuronal signaling pathways. The OR2B6 receptor is known to be activated by specific odorants, linking the perception of smell to various physiological responses and behaviors. Understanding the structure and function of OR2B6 through recombinant protein expression provides insights into its ligand-binding mechanisms and signal transduction pathways. Additionally, studying OR2B6 can enhance our knowledge of the genetic and molecular basis of olfactory function and dysfunction. Given the potential implications for olfactory-related disorders, such as anosmia or hyposmia, which can arise from various genetic or environmental factors, research on OR2B6 may contribute to the development of therapeutic strategies. The generation of recombinant OR2B6 proteins in heterologous systems allows researchers to investigate its biophysical properties, pharmacology, and interaction with different ligands in a controlled environment, paving the way for future studies on its physiological and clinical relevance.
