Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The OR2B3 gene encodes a member of the olfactory receptor family, which plays a crucial role in sensing a wide range of odorant molecules. As one of the components of the chemosensory system, OR2B3 is primarily expressed in the olfactory epithelium and is implicated in the detection of specific aroma compounds, influencing both olfactory perception and respiratory health. Recent studies have identified the potential link between OR2B3 and various physiological responses, including immune modulation and respiratory function, sparking interest in its therapeutic implications. Researchers are increasingly focusing on recombinant OR2B3 proteins to better understand their structure-function relationships, odorant-binding characteristics, and signaling pathways. Utilizing recombinant techniques allows for the production of purified OR2B3 proteins, facilitating the exploration of their interactions with different ligands, and providing insight into their possible roles in disease contexts such as asthma or allergies. As such, the study of OR2B3 and its recombinant protein forms not only advances our understanding of olfactory mechanisms but also holds promise for developing novel therapeutic strategies targeting sensory and respiratory disorders.
